Partnership supports the Jean B. Purvis Community Health Center and a shared mission to connect families with essential services

BUTLER, PA — May 19, 2026 — Brightspeed has announced a new year-long partnership with the Community Health Center of Butler County to support the Jean B. Purvis Community Health Center and its ongoing efforts to connect residents with essential services.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to improving access in rural communities, whether through healthcare services or reliable high-speed internet.

“Strong communities depend on access, both to care and to connectivity,” said Brian Littleton, local marketing manager at Brightspeed. “We’re proud to support the Community Health Center of Butler County and the important work happening every day in the community. A healthy community is a thriving community.”

The Jean B. Purvis Community Health Center provides affordable, high-quality care to individuals and families across the region, helping address gaps that can exist in rural areas. By partnering with Brightspeed, the organization aims to further close the divide, where limited connectivity can create barriers to care, including access to telehealth and health education.

“This partnership represents a meaningful step forward in addressing two of the most pressing challenges facing rural communities today,” said Kimberly Reamer, Executive Director at Jean B. Purvis Community Health Center. “By aligning our missions, we’re able to expand our reach and better serve patients, ensuring they are not only cared for but also connected.”

As part of the partnership, Brightspeed will support several community events throughout 2026 that help fund the health center’s programs and services.

Right now, nearly 29,000 families and small businesses in Butler County have access to reliable, blazing-fast connectivity, empowering them to work remotely, learn online, participate in e-commerce, receive telehealth services and thrive in today’s hyperconnected world. Once Brightspeed’s fiber build is complete in Butler County, more than 31,000 families and businesses will have access to multi-gig-speed connectivity.
