CHARLOTTE, N.C. — October 1, 2024 — Brightspeed, a leading phone and internet service provider, announces that it has opened free charging and wi-fi locations in Greenwood and Ninety Six, South Carolina to help residents in the area who are still without power as a result of Hurricane Helene. Brightspeed crews have been working around the clock to repair the damage to its network that has resulted in service interruptions for its customers. In the meantime, the company has power available at its office location in Greenwood and generator power at its office location in Ninety Six and will open these two locations to the public starting Wednesday, October 2.
The Brightspeed charging and wi-fi stations will be open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET at the following locations:
· Brightspeed office at 148 Maxwell Avenue, Greenwood, South Carolina
· Brightspeed office at 75 Saluda Street, Ninety Six, South Carolina
Brightspeed charging and wi-fi stations will have landline connections, charging stations and wi-fi hot spots for residents who need those services.
