The Brightspeed Honor Discount offers a discount on 1Gig and 2Gig fiber internet services to employees/members of qualifying institutions who are new to Brightspeed with accounts in good standing.

The discount is $20 off 2Gig and $10 off 1Gig. If you qualify, the discounted prices will be automatically reflected in your cart.

You will continue to receive the Brightspeed Honor Discount as long as you remain a member of the community group for which you have been verified, and as long as the discount is offered by Brightspeed.  You may be asked to verify your eligibility on an annual basis.

You will need to provide basic information such as your name, DOB, and email address. Depending on the discount you are seeking, you will also need to provide community specific information such as your school name or military branch of service. In some cases you may be asked to provide more information such as a copy of your current student ID or military orders.

We are happy to offer the discount to qualifying teachers (K-12 faculty and university/post-secondary faculty), students (full/part-time college, post-secondary, and trade school students) and U.S. Military members (all active duty, reservists, veterans and retirees).

SheerID will only use your email address to contact you regarding your verification status. Your email will not be added to any marketing lists without your consent.

Brightspeed uses a third-party verification platform, SheerID, to provide eligibility verification. In most cases, the verification is instantaneous, but others may require additional documentation or time to complete. SheerID processes your information, from your submitted documentation in accordance with their privacy practices to provide this service to Brightspeed. All documentation you provide to SheerID during this process is permanently deleted once SheerID has verified your eligibility. No. The billing account name (first and last) must match the name of the individual who successfully verified.

If available at the time of purchase, you may be eligible to receive a Prepaid Mastercard through the Reward Card program (you will be subject to the terms and conditions of the Reward Card Program). The Brightspeed Honor Discount may not be combined with any other discounts.

The discount will remain on your account as long as your account remains in good standing. If your account is subject to collections activity, or is suspended or terminated the discount may be removed and you may be asked to reverify in order to reinstate it.
