Customer assistance programs

If your income is limited, you may be eligible for help paying your phone or internet service through Lifeline or the Affordable Connectivity Program.

The FCC projects that the Federal funds supporting the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) will be depleted after April 2024. As a result, ACP will stop taking new applications for enrollment at 11:59 PM ET on February 7, 2024. After April, the ACP discount will no longer be available to Brightspeed customers who have qualified and currently receive the monthly subsidy. However, Brightspeed is planning to continue providing its own discount of up to $30 per month to those qualified customers, so many of them will not see their bill increase in May and beyond. Lifeline is a federal program that helps reduce the monthly cost of phone or eligible internet connection. Lifeline can only be used for phone or internet service—not both. Participants in state- and federally approved help programs can get Lifeline discounts.
