Create an email account

Your Brightspeed High-Speed Internet service includes up to 10 email accounts. Learn how to create your account and how to check your email from your preferred program.

Please note that your email login is different from your account login.

How to create your email address

Option 1: At your convenience

You can create your email account any time you want. You'll need your account number and billing zip code to complete the setup.

 

  1. Go to the email homepage (link above). 
  2. Click on the Manage Email drop-down on the top navigation.
  3. Click on Create Email Account.
  4. Follow the prompts  to choose your login/email address, password and security question. 
  5. Customize your inbox.

Option 2: When you install your service

When you install your new Brightspeed High-Speed Internet service, you'll be prompted to create a login for your home page. When you see this prompt, do the following:

 

  1. Select "I want to create a new account as my login to my home page," and click Next.
  2. Enter a new login/email address, and create a password.
  3. Choose a secret question and answer. Click Next.

 

Congrats! You've set up your email address.

How to check your email

There are two ways to check your email: at centurylink.net or using your preferred email program

Check your email with webmail

  1. Go to centurylink.net
  2. Click the Email button at the top right side of the page
  3. Enter your username and password
  4. Click the "Log In" button to view your email

 

Your service gets you access to 10 additional customizable email addresses that you can use or share with members of your household.

Check your email using your preferred program

You can set up your email on other email programs and on multiple devices. We provide step-by-step instructions for Mac OSiOSAndroid and Windows.

 

For all programs and devices, you will need the POP/IMAP server settings as you follow the instructions for your specific device or program.

Check for outages and troubleshoot problems with your home phone or internet service.
