Under the Alabama Personal Data Protection Act (“APDPA”), Alabama residents may have the following rights regarding their personal information, subject to applicable exceptions:
The right to confirm whether Brightspeed is processing your personal information and access to that information.
The right to correct inaccuracies in your personal information.
The right to delete personal information provided or obtained about you.
The right to obtain a portable copy of certain personal information.
The right to opt out of: (1) targeted advertising; (2) the sale of personal information; and (3) certain profiling activities that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) (which was amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA)) gives specific rights to California consumers, namely our California employees and job applicants (although these types of individuals are not covered under the other laws below). These California consumers may have the right to:
Request to know (a) the categories of personal information we collect, use, disclose for a business purpose, and share about you (b) the categories of sources from which we collected personal information about you; (c) our purposes for collecting or sharing personal information; and (d) the categories of third parties to which we have shared personal information or disclosed it for a business purpose

Request to delete the personal information we have collected from you
Request the correction of inaccurate personal information

While the CCPA provides an opt-out opportunity for certain uses or disclosures of “sensitive personal information” (as defined by the CCPA), Brightspeed uses and discloses such information only for purposes that do not require an opt-out opportunity under the CCPA.
