What to expect for your internet installation

Thank you for choosing Brightspeed for your internet service! This page provides a quick look at what to expect for your installation.

Standard-install checklist

  • Be sure you have a working phone jack in the spot where you want to place your modem. If you do NOT have a working phone jack, you will need a technician to install your service. Please chat with us right away to change your installation type from standard install to technician, and schedule a technician visit.

  • Download the app. 
    - You can use the app to track your shipment and to install your new Brightspeed modem. When your new modem arrives, it will contain instructions for how to complete installation using the app.

    - The app is great for all customers to manage your service and account.

Note about modem delivery: Your modem will arrive on or before the date your service is scheduled to start. Your line should be activated no later than 7 p.m. on your start date.
